RESUME
Born in 1965, Emin Atalay graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 1989 and was admitted to the Istanbul Bar Association in 1991.
During his university years, he took an active role in the intellectual and cultural scene as a founding member of the magazine “TEKLİF.” Over various periods, he served as the Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Manager, and Culture & Arts Director, contributing articles to nearly every issue.
As the founder of Emin Legal Consultancy, Mediation, and Law Office, he remains deeply involved in the “kitchen” of the profession, maintaining a hands-on approach to legal practice. He personally oversees the consultancy services provided to corporate clients, ensuring direct partner-level engagement.
Professional Philosophy
Mr. Atalay’s practice is built on a foundation of “honest and principled work and relationships.” He places great importance on consultation (Istishara) and maintains a selective approach to his caseload, prioritizing clients who operate within legitimate and legal frameworks.
Mediation & Social Advocacy
In 2015, Emin Atalay earned his accreditation as a mediator and currently serves as a Specialist Mediator, providing effective alternative dispute resolution services.
Beyond his legal career, he is a prominent figure in civil society. He has played a foundational role in numerous NGOs, often serving as a founding president. Currently, he is the Founding President of the IKRA (Science, Culture, and Mercy) Association and a member of the Founding Board of Trustees of the IKRA Foundation.
He continues to balance his legal practice with various social, cultural, and educational initiatives. Emin Atalay is married, with four children and six grandchildren.
